For job interviews
Practice with an AI interviewer, then get help in the real one.
Do mock interviews out loud and get a score. On the day, get short cues on screen where the rules allow it, and a recap after.
- No bot joins the call
- Free plan, no card
- English and Spanish
TalkPilot“Tell me about a time you failed.”
Name one real failure, own your part, then say what you do differently now.
Example of what you see during a video interview. Use live help only where the interview allows it.
The problem
You know your work. Interviewing is a different skill.
Your mind goes blank on an easy question.
“Tell me about yourself,” and nothing comes out in order.
You talk for four minutes straight.
Your best example gets lost halfway through.
Practicing in your head is too easy.
Answers sound different out loud, with someone asking follow-up questions.
The right answer shows up on the way home.
By then, the interview is over.
TalkPilot gives you an interviewer to practice with tonight, and help on the day.
Four questions to prepare
The questions you dread, practiced until they're easy.
The same advice the AI interviewer coaches you toward, run after run.
“Tell me about yourself.”
The usual answerYou walk through your whole résumé, year by year.
After practiceTwo minutes: where you've been, what you do best, and why this role. You practice it until it sticks.
“Tell me about a time you failed.”
The usual answerYou pick a failure that wasn't really yours, or one that is secretly a win.
After practiceOne real failure, your part in it, and what you do differently now.
“What's your biggest weakness?”
The usual answer“I'm a perfectionist.” They have heard it all week.
After practiceA real gap and what you're doing about it. The Interview practice arc has a round just for this.
“What are your salary expectations?”
The usual answerYou give a range that starts low, then talk yourself down in the silence.
After practiceYou say one number, calmly, then stop talking. Practice is where you learn to hold the silence.
When the real question comes, you've already answered it out loud.
How it works
From practice to the real interview, in four steps.
- Practice
1. Do a mock interview out loud
An AI interviewer asks by voice and you answer by voice. Start with the free job interview scenario. If the interview is already on your calendar, TalkPilot can build the practice from the invite, with the interviewer as the character.
- Free plan: 5 runs a month, up to 15 minutes each
- Pro: unlimited runs, up to 30 minutes each
- Score
2. Get a score, fix one thing, go again
Every run is graded out of 100, with stars at 60, 80 and 92. You see your best and toughest moment quoted from your own answers, what worked, what to work on, and one drill for next time.
- Interview
3. Get help in the real one, if it's allowed
On Mac or Windows, TalkPilot hears both sides of your Zoom, Meet or Teams call, and nothing joins the call. Add one line about the role before you start. By default it stays quiet until you tap Assist or say “Let me think”.
- Standby: quiet until you ask (Free)
- Nudges: a short direction after each question (Free)
- Teleprompter and Interview mode: with Pro
- Not allowed in this interview? Skip this step and practice instead.
- Recap
4. Read the recap, then redo it
When the call ends: the main takeaway, your action items and a follow-up email draft that you send yourself. Missed a question? Redo the conversation, with the AI playing the same interviewer.
- Deep Dive: what you did well (Free), where to grow and one move for next time (Pro)
What you get
Practice that feels real, and help when it counts.
- Pro
The Interview: five rounds with Ingrid
Ingrid is a hiring manager who asks for proof. Open with your story, prove it with an example, own a weakness, say your number, then do it all in one interview.
Daily drills
60 to 90 second drills for clarity, brevity and composure. Points, levels and stars track your progress. 5 a day on Free.
Say “Let me think”
In the default Standby style, saying “Let me think” or “Great question” brings a suggestion right away. You can add your own phrases.
Interviews in English or Spanish
Practice runs in the app's language. On a live call, coaching follows the language being spoken, even if the interviewer switches to English halfway. You can also pick one language in Settings.
Cues while you talk
“Slow down”, “Pause: let your point land” and “Their turn to speak” appear when you rush or run long.
- Pro
Your résumé, read before the call
Add your résumé and the job description as PDF or text files. TalkPilot reads them and suggests what to mention.
No audio stored
We don't record or store audio. Only the transcript is saved, in your account, and only you can see it.
Fair play
Practice is always fair. Live help depends on the rules.
TalkPilot is like having notes in front of you: you are still the one talking. Whether notes are allowed is up to each interview.
Always fine
- Mock interviews and daily drills
- Rehearsing an interview from your calendar invite
- Reading the recap and redoing the interview
Only if the interview allows it
- Cues and suggestions on your screen during the interview
- If it says no outside help, or it is a test, don't use them
- Not sure? Ask the recruiter, or just practice before
A simple test: if the interviewer found out, would they feel tricked? If yes, don't do it.

Questions, answered.
- Follow the rules you are given. If the interview or a test says no outside help, don't use live help during it. Practicing with AI before the interview is fine, and that is what Practice is for. Read our honest answer.
