Head-to-head

TalkPilot vs Cluely

Cluely markets itself as undetectable AI for meetings: you press a shortcut and an answer appears on your screen. TalkPilot is a conversation coach, built to make you a better communicator, not to help you cheat. It knows your goal and context, helps you live, trains you with AI practice before the call and helps you improve after it.

The verdict

Cluely is built to give you hidden answers on demand; TalkPilot is built to make you a better communicator, with a coach that knows your goal and your context, live help during the call, practice before it and a recap that helps you improve.

Choose TalkPilot if

  • You want to become a better communicator, not just get through one call: practice scores, Deep Dive and Memory help you improve from call to call.
  • You want help built on your own context: your brief, your docs, lessons from past calls, your calendar and your CRM contact.
  • You want to rehearse first with an AI that plays the other person, like an interviewer, a buyer or your boss, and get a score.
  • You run a sales or support team and want every rep on the playbook, with approved answers on the call and every call scored in the Command Center.
  • Your calls are in Spanish, or switch between Spanish and English, and you want coaching that follows the call.
  • You don't want your audio recorded or stored: TalkPilot saves only the transcript, in your account.

Choose Cluely if

  • You want an assistant that also reads what is on your screen, like code or a document.
  • Your calls are in French, German, Italian or Portuguese, which Cluely's help center lists for audio.

We build TalkPilot, so read this as a vendor page. Everything we say about Cluely comes from its own website and help center, checked on October 11, 2026, and the links are at the bottom of this page.

Both apps listen to a call on your computer and put help on your screen, and neither one sends a bot into the meeting. They are built for different goals. Cluely leads with being undetectable and gives you answers when you ask. TalkPilot is a conversation coach, built on proven conversation methods to make you the best communicator you can be. It gives you extra thinking power during the conversation, keeps you moving toward your goal, and helps you get better from one call to the next.

Answers on demand, or a coach for your goal

Cluely's homepage calls it the number one undetectable AI for meetings, and its manifesto opens with "We want to cheat on everything." In a call, you click Ask or press Cmd/Ctrl+Enter. Cluely reads the conversation and your screen, then gives an answer, a line to say, follow-up questions or a recap. Its help center has a whole section on hiding from screen shares, with a list of apps it hides from, including proctoring software.

TalkPilot is not built to cheat. It starts from what you want out of the conversation. Before the call you write a short brief, like "Pricing call with Acme, I want a yes on the annual plan", pick the kind of conversation, like Sales or Interview, and choose how much help you want: Standby stays quiet until you ask, Nudges gives a short direction after each turn, and Teleprompter gives the exact line to say. Help shows up when the other person stops talking, never while you speak, and short cues tell you to slow down or let them talk. Some modes and Teleprompter need Pro.

Both apps are visible on screen shares by default. In TalkPilot, hiding is an opt-in setting called Undetectable, included in Pro on Mac and Windows. Cluely sells it as its own, higher-priced plan. We don't build TalkPilot around hiding. The goal is a better conversation, and a better you after it.

A coach that knows you

General advice does not help much in a real conversation, so TalkPilot works from your own context. With Pro, add your docs, notes and slides as PDF, TXT or MD files, and the coach reads them before and during the call. Each call can have a short brief. TalkPilot can use your calendar details and, when connected, your HubSpot or Salesforce contact before the call. Memory keeps lessons from your past calls plus notes you write, and the live coach reads them. You can also paste what ChatGPT or Claude already knows about you into your profile.

Cluely's help center says you can add custom context and files, like a resume or a pitch deck, to a Mode, and that Cluely always uses what is on your screen. With TalkPilot Pro or Teams, you can also use TalkPilot inside Claude or ChatGPT to look through your calls and prepare for the next one.

Practice before, get better after

Before an important call, you can rehearse with an AI that plays the other person, like an interviewer, a buyer or your boss. Then you get a score out of 100, what worked and what to work on. You can also redo a past conversation or rehearse a meeting from your calendar. We found no practice or roleplay on Cluely's site.

After the call, TalkPilot gives you a one-line takeaway, action items you approve before anything is sent, a follow-up email draft, the transcript and, when you want it, a Deep Dive on what went well and what to try next. Lessons go to Memory, so your coach keeps them for the next call. Cluely gives meeting notes, the transcript, drafted follow-up emails and an AI chat over your past meetings.

For teams: your playbook on every call

Cluely's pricing page shows Starter, Pro and Pro + Undetectability. There is no team plan on it, and we found no manager view, call scoring or CRM integration on its site.

TalkPilot Teams adds your company knowledge and brings the company playbook into each rep's call. The current stage shows on screen, with what is still left to cover. When a known objection comes up, the company's approved answer shows first. If a rep starts to say something a rule forbids, TalkPilot warns them.

After each call, the Command Center scores it against the playbook and sends low scores and rule breaks to a review queue. Managers leave coaching notes and assign practice. Team DNA studies transcripts of your best people and lets you add their flow, answers and phrases to the playbook. Teams has custom pricing for each team, from 3 users with no maximum, and every seat gets everything in Pro.

Where TalkPilot is not the right fit

Good to know before you choose.

  • Coaching works in English and Spanish only.
  • It works from the conversation and the context you give it. It does not read your screen.

Frequently asked questions

What is the main difference between TalkPilot and Cluely?

Cluely is built around answers you call up on screen, and it markets itself as undetectable. TalkPilot is a conversation coach, not a cheat tool. It knows your goal and your context, helps you during the call, trains you with AI practice before it, and helps you improve after with Deep Dive and Memory. TalkPilot Teams adds playbooks and call scoring.

Is TalkPilot undetectable like Cluely?

TalkPilot is visible on screen shares by default. Undetectable is an opt-in setting in Pro and Teams, on Mac and Windows only. Cluely's help center says Cluely is also visible by default and that hiding needs its Pro + Undetectability plan. Rules on AI help in interviews, exams and recorded calls vary, so check the ones that apply to you.

Can TalkPilot use my own documents and notes?

Yes. With Pro, add your docs, notes and slides as PDF, TXT or MD files, and the coach reads them before and during the call. Each call can have a short brief, Memory keeps lessons from your past calls, and TalkPilot can use your calendar details and your HubSpot or Salesforce contact. You can also paste what ChatGPT or Claude already knows about you into your profile.

Does either app join the call as a bot?

No. Both run on your own device, so nobody new shows up in the meeting. TalkPilot does not record or store audio: only the transcript is saved, in your account. Cluely's site describes it as a meeting recorder that records meeting audio.

Can a sales team use TalkPilot with its own playbook?

Yes. With TalkPilot Teams, admins build playbooks in the Command Center or start from templates like BANT, SPICED or MEDDIC essentials, add approved answers and company knowledge, and assign them to reps. Each call is then scored against that playbook. Cluely's pricing page shows no team plan.

Does TalkPilot work in Spanish?

Yes. The apps and the Command Center are in English and Spanish, and coaching follows the language of the call, even if it switches mid-call. You can also pick one language in Settings. Cluely's help center lists six languages for audio, chosen in its settings.

How much does each one cost?

TalkPilot has a free plan (5 live conversations a month, up to 30 minutes each), Pro at $20 a month, and Teams with custom pricing for each team, from 3 users. Cluely has a free Starter plan, Pro, and a higher-priced Pro + Undetectability plan. Check cluely.com/pricing for its current prices.
