The verdict
If your sales leaders need recordings, forecasts and pipeline analytics, Gong is built for that; if you want every rep to have extra thinking power on the call, with your playbook, approved answers and company knowledge at hand while the buyer is still on the line, choose TalkPilot Teams.
Choose TalkPilot if
- Your reps need help while the buyer is still talking: the next line or question, your approved answer to an objection before anything else, and the playbook stage with what is still left to cover.
- You want coaching that knows your business, not generic tips: your company knowledge, playbook and approved answers, plus each rep's own documents, call brief, Memory and CRM contact.
- You don't want a bot in your customers' meetings or stored call audio. TalkPilot listens on the rep's own device and saves only the transcript.
- Your team sells in Spanish, or in both languages. Coaching follows the language of the call, and the apps and Command Center are in English and Spanish.
- You want practice, live help and recaps in one product: reps rehearse with an AI that plays the buyer and get a score, then get a recap with action items and Deep Dive after every call.
- You are a team of 3 or more and want a published price: $32 per seat a month billed yearly, or $40 monthly, with self-serve signup.
Choose Gong if
- Your sales leaders need forecasts, deal likelihood and pipeline analytics built from call data.
- You want every call and meeting recorded so managers can listen back, with emails captured in the same place.
- Your CRM is Microsoft Dynamics, which Gong connects to natively.
- You run a large revenue team and want one vendor for call recording, sales engagement, forecasting and enablement.

Gong is built around recording calls and analyzing them for managers and sales leaders. TalkPilot is a conversation enhancer, built on proven conversation methods to make you the best communicator you can be: extra thinking power for the rep, live, while the buyer is still on the line. It listens on the rep's own computer or phone and works from your playbook, your approved answers and the context each rep loads before the call. Managers still get every call scored against your own playbook.
Help during the call vs analysis after
Picture a buyer saying 'that's more than we planned to spend.' With Gong, that moment is recorded, and later a manager can find it, score it and coach the rep. With TalkPilot, the rep sees your company's approved answer while the buyer is still waiting for a reply.
On the pages we checked today, Gong's in-call tool is its app for Zoom, where reps take notes, mark moments and see how the conversation is going on recorded Zoom calls. We did not find a feature that suggests what to say next. Gong's scoring, coaching and practice happen before or after the call.
TalkPilot waits until the other person finishes talking, then shows the next line, question or direction. It works like extra thinking power while the buyer is still on the line. If your playbook has stages, the rep sees where they are and what is still left to cover, and gets a warning if they start to say something your rules forbid.
Coaching that knows your company, your buyer and your goal
Generic advice does not help much on a real call, so TalkPilot works from the context you give it. Each rep can add their own documents (PDF, TXT or MD), which the coach reads before and during the call, and a short brief for each call, like 'Pricing call with Acme, I want a yes on the annual plan.' Memory keeps lessons from past calls plus the rep's own notes. TalkPilot also reads the calendar invite and, when HubSpot or Salesforce is connected, the contact before the call starts. Reps can even paste what ChatGPT or Claude already knows about them into their profile.
TalkPilot Teams adds what the whole company knows: company knowledge from your PDF, DOCX, PPTX slides, TXT, CSV and more, your playbooks, your approved answers, and Team DNA from your best reps. Every rep gets the same facts and the same answers on every call. You can also use TalkPilot inside Claude or ChatGPT, for example to search your calls or prepare for the next one.
Before a big call, reps can rehearse it: an AI plays the buyer by voice, and the rep gets a score with what worked and what to work on. They can also rehearse tomorrow's meeting built from the calendar invite, or redo a past call.
What managers get from each
Gong is built for managers and sales leaders: every call recorded, AI call scoring, a coaching inbox, practice built from past calls, and forecasts with deal likelihood. If you run a large revenue team and need that reporting, that is what Gong is made for.
TalkPilot Teams gives managers the Command Center: calls scored against your playbook (stage coverage, objection handling, rule breaks), a review queue for the calls that need a look, a leaderboard, coaching notes and practice assignments. Team DNA reads transcripts of your best reps, shows how they run a call and answer objections, and can add that to the playbook for everyone.
Recording, language and price
Gong records calls: a recorder joins the meeting as a participant, or Gong pulls the recording from Zoom. TalkPilot never joins the meeting. It hears the call on the rep's own computer or phone, does not record or store audio, and saves only the transcript.
Gong transcribes more than 70 languages, Spanish among them, but its help center lists some features that only work on English calls, and its interface comes in English or French. TalkPilot coaches in English and Spanish and follows the language of the call, even when it switches mid-call. The apps and the Command Center are in both languages.
Gong does not publish prices. Its pricing page says licenses are per user, plus a platform fee based on the number of users, and you ask for a quote. TalkPilot Teams costs $32 per seat a month billed yearly, or $40 billed monthly, for teams of 3 or more, and every seat includes everything in Pro.
Where TalkPilot is not the right fit
Good to know before you choose.
- TalkPilot does not do forecasting, deal-risk scores or pipeline analytics. It is built for the conversation itself.
- It does not store audio, so there are no recordings to replay. Managers see scores, and transcripts when the workspace allows it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Gong coach reps during a live call?
Gong's in-call tool is its app for Zoom: reps can take notes, mark moments and see how the conversation is going on recorded Zoom calls. On the pages we checked today, Gong does not describe suggesting what to say next. Most of its coaching happens after the call.
Does a bot join the call?
With Gong, a recorder joins the meeting as a participant, or Gong uses native Zoom recording. With TalkPilot, no. It listens on the rep's own computer or phone, so nothing joins the meeting.
What does TalkPilot know before the call starts?
What you give it. Each rep can add documents, a short brief for the call, notes in Memory and their profile, and TalkPilot reads the calendar invite and the HubSpot or Salesforce contact. On Teams it also uses your company knowledge, playbook and approved answers. That is why its suggestions fit your product and your buyer, not a generic sales call.
Can TalkPilot replace Gong?
It depends on what you use Gong for. If you need reps to follow your playbook and handle objections well on live calls, with call scores for managers, TalkPilot Teams covers that. If your leaders depend on forecasts, deal risk or listening to recordings, that is Gong's job, and the two can run side by side.
Can we use TalkPilot and Gong together?
Yes. They do different jobs, and TalkPilot does not need Gong to work. There is no integration between them today, so scores and transcripts stay in each product.
Does TalkPilot work in Spanish?
Yes. Coaching follows the language of the call, English or Spanish, even if it switches mid-call, or you can pick one in Settings. The apps and the Command Center are in English and Spanish. Gong transcribes Spanish, but its help center lists some features as English-only.
How much does each one cost?
TalkPilot Teams is $32 per seat a month billed yearly, or $40 billed monthly, from 3 seats, with no maximum. Gong does not publish prices: it charges per user plus a platform fee, by quote.
