What is a real-time AI sales coach?

A real-time AI sales coach is software that listens to your sales call while it is happening and shows you, on your own screen, a short suggestion for what to say or ask next. Unlike call recording tools, it helps you during the call, not after it ends.

How is it different from post-call analysis?

Post-call tools record a call and analyze it after it ends. You get a report, a score or a summary once the customer has hung up. Gong and Chorus by ZoomInfo are well-known examples, and they are useful for managers who review many calls.

A real-time coach works in the moment. When the buyer raises a concern, you see a suggestion while you can still use it. TalkPilot also gives you a summary and action items when the call ends, but its main job is the live help.

How does it work on a live call?

    1. It listens. On Mac and Windows, TalkPilot hears your microphone and the sound from your computer, so it hears you and the other people on the call. On iPhone and Android, it uses the phone's microphone.
    2. It transcribes. Both sides of the conversation become text in real time, in English or Spanish.
    3. It waits for the right moment. TalkPilot suggests something after the other person finishes their thought, never in the middle of your own sentence. Short replies like “yeah” or “mm-hm” do not trigger it.
    4. It shows a short card. The suggestion stays on your screen for about 20 seconds, and goes away sooner if you already said it or the conversation moved on.
    5. It shows on your own screen, not in the meeting. No bot joins. If you share your screen, TalkPilot shows too, unless you turn on Undetectable, a Pro setting on Mac and Windows. On a phone with earbuds in, Pro users can also hear the coaching as a whisper.

TalkPilot does not save call audio. It turns the call into a text transcript in real time and keeps that transcript, with the suggestions, in your account.

What kind of help does it give?

You choose how much help you want. TalkPilot has three coaching styles:

    Standby
Quiet until you ask. You press Assist or say a trigger phrase, and it answers. This is the default style.
    Nudges
After the other person speaks, it gives you a direction, like “ask about their timeline”, not exact words.
    Teleprompter
After the other person speaks, it gives you a short line you can say. This style is part of Pro.

It also shows small live cues about how you speak, such as “Slow down” when you talk fast for a long time, or “Their turn to speak” when you have held the floor for too long.

With TalkPilot Teams, a company adds its playbook and its approved answers to common objections. When a buyer raises one of those objections, the rep sees the answer the company approved.

Who is a real-time AI sales coach for?

    • Sales reps and founders who run discovery calls, demos and negotiations.
    • New reps who are still learning the product and the common objections.
    • People who sell in a second language, in English or Spanish.
    • Anyone with a high-stakes call where the right next question matters, like an interview or a negotiation.

    Who is it not for?

    • Teams that mainly want to record every call and review it later. A post-call tool like Gong or Chorus fits that better.
    • People who want a tool to talk for them. TalkPilot suggests. You still lead the conversation.
    • Calls where you cannot get the consent your local law requires. Check the rules where you and the other person are.
    • People who are not comfortable with an AI listening to their calls, or who work under rules that do not allow it.

    What does TalkPilot cost?

TalkPilot has a Free plan with 5 conversations a month, up to 30 minutes each. Pro is $20 a month, with unlimited conversations up to 2 hours each. TalkPilot Teams is $32 per user per month billed annually, or $40 billed monthly, from 3 users, with no maximum. It runs on Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, in English and Spanish.

    Frequently asked questions

Does the other person know I am using a real-time AI sales coach?

Not unless you tell them or they see your screen. No bot joins the call, so nothing announces itself. That is why you should follow the recording-consent rules where you and the other person are, and be open with your team about using it.

    Does TalkPilot record my calls?

TalkPilot does not save call audio. It turns the call into a text transcript in real time and keeps that transcript, with the suggestions, in your account.

    Does it work in Spanish?

Yes. TalkPilot works in English and Spanish. The coaching follows the language of the call, so a call in Spanish gets suggestions in Spanish.

Which meeting apps does it work with?

On Mac and Windows, TalkPilot listens to your microphone and the sound from your computer, so it does not need to connect to your meeting app. On iPhone and Android, it uses the phone's microphone.

    Does it replace sales training?

No. It helps in the moment, but it does not replace practice and feedback from a manager. TalkPilot also has Practice, where you can rehearse a conversation with an AI before the real one.

    Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan includes 5 conversations a month, up to 30 minutes each. Pro is $20 a month.
